Stocks markets had quite a strong week. Tech sector roared back after a recent heavy hit. Grains are still weak-kneed. Did the USDA report throw grain markets a bone? The cash cattle stood its ground despite weakness across live and feeder cattle futures. Can it last? A look at the weekly cash cattle market . . . .

Dare we say? Are global corn prices finally in a buying zone? Commodity funds now hold a record corn short position. But what will be the spark for funds to buy out of their positions? Corn futures have sliced in-half exceeding $8/bu to eyeing $4/bu right now. Technicals are screaming oversold. Fundamentals of ample global support received a little bullish boost from Friday’s USDA crop production report. Corn prices have been dragged-through-the-mud as producer margins slide into the red. But is the tide possibly turning on gradually tightening of global corn supplies? Lets take a look at the numbers . . . .
